Esteves, where Bella Donna was filmed is a stone's throw away. Because of its history and unique character, the village is now protected from new development.

Proximity to Fortaleza has made Canoa popular with Brazilian tourists and consequently the transport connections are excellent.

Carnival in Canoa is also a real happening: Aracati has earned a good name. Famous singers perform and everything is at ease. For very low rates, buses ride from Canoa to Aracati and back. The combination of carnival and afternoon on the beach is wonderful.
